ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SOUTHERN RAILWAY VACANCY 2018 POSTS
Qualification:Candidates applying for Southern Railway Vacancy Recruitment should have the following educational qualifications,
ITI & Ex ITI Candidates: Candidates must have passed 8th/10th/12th with ITI In respective trade from any recognized Institute.



Non-ITI: Medical Department Posts: 12th passed with Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject.


Age Limit:
Age of the candidates must be not more than 24 years as on 21.02.2018.

The Southern Railway offers a pay scale to its employees according to the post they are recruited in. Basic pay scale in Apprentice Jobs is given below
For Mechanic DSL 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year
During the 1st year of training Rs.5900/-p.m.

During the 2nd year of training Rs. Rs.7550/-p.m.

During the 3rd year of training Rs.6700/-p.m.

For All Other Trades 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year
During the 1st year of training Rs.5700/- p.m

During the 2nd year of training Rs.6500/- p.m

During the 3rd year of training Rs.7350/- p.m.

A crossed Indian Postal Order amounting to Rs.100 drawn in favor of the Workshop Personnel Officer, Southern Railway, Golden Rock, Tiruchirappalli-620 004 Payable at Ponmalai (candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Women are exempted from this payment) Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance
